Telecom Installation & Repair (I&R) Techs Needed


* PHASE 1 Tele-Team is currently hiring for Installation & Repair (I&R) Technicians.

  • TROUBLE TICKET - Isolate trouble and repair to re-establish existing telephone service.  Install, replace, and/or rearrange NID, local cables, drops, and associated inside/outside wiring.  Connect drops, local cables, and inside/outside wiring to a variety of terminals.  Test and inspect to ensure that activities performed and all services installed function properly.  VRS testing/verification is required upon completion of work.  Upon completion of work, leave a door hanger at customer premises describing work performed.  Work may require climbing ladders and/or poles, crawling under dwellings, working in attics, working underground.
  • INSTALL SERVICE W/INSIDE WIRE & OUTSIDE WORK - Establish new telephone service at customer premises.  Install, replace, rearrange and/or remove cross-connect jumpers, NID, service drops, local cables, and outside/inside (inside wire and jacks as required on service order.)  Connect drops, local cables, and wiring to a variety of terminals.  Make various attachments to poles, buildings, etc., as required, using hand or motorized tools.  Test and inspect to ensure that activities performed and all services installed function properly.  VRS testing/verification is required upon completion of work.  Work may require climbing ladders and/or poles, crawling under dwellings, working underground. 
  • INSTALL SERVICE W/OUTSIDE WORK ONLY - Establish new telephone service at customer premises.  Install, replace, rearrange and /or remove cross-connect jumpers, NID, service drops, local cables, and outside wiring only.  Connect drops, local cables, and outside wiring to a variety of terminals.  Make various attachments to poles, buildings, etc., as required, using hand or motorized tools.  Test and inspect to ensure that activities performed and all services installed function properly.  VRS testing/verification is required upon completion of work.  Work may require climbing ladders and/or poles, crawling under dwellings, working underground.
  • TROUBLE TICKET: REFER TO CABLE MAINTENANCE, OUTSIDE WORK COMPLETED ONLY- NO ACCESS REQUIRED - Trouble ticket isolated cause to cable and no available pairs were found to restore service.  Ticket is referred to Verizon Cable Maintenance to repair cable for re-establishing service.  Upon completion of work, leave a door hanger at customer premises describing work performed and the additional work required.  Minimum of five (5) pairs must be tested before trouble is referred to Verizon Cable Maintenance & requires VRS testing.
  • TROUBLE TICKET: REFER TO CABLE MAINTENANCE, INSIDE WORK COMPLETED -Trouble ticket isolated cause to cable and no available pairs were found to restore service.  Inside trouble has been isolated and resolved.  Ticket is referred to Verizon Cable Maintenance to repair cable for re-establishing service.   Minimum of five (5) pairs must be tested before trouble is referred to Verizon Cable Maintenance & requires VRS testing.  Upon completion of work, leave a door hanger at customer premises describing work performed and the additional work required.
